For those not sure here are the two meanings that most think of when they hear natural nail care, taking care of your nails naturally or just care of your nails over all. That really depends on you as the customer and how you want to see it.
Not to long ago manicurist where nothing more than someone
who removed your nail polish and then reapplied it. They were not really
thought of as being very important in the over all beauty care we as customers
give ourselves. Nail care was just a after thought, not something we made
appointments to have done. Flash forward a few years and that has totally
changed. Customers think nothing of getting manicures and pedicures done along
with getting their hair done.
What's in it for you as the customer? Natural nail care has
morphed from being something you may of had done as after thought to something
most can't live without. Its why we all enjoy so much the variety in wear nail
polish colors, types of nails, from real to acrylics to spa treatments leaving
us with beautiful nails and pretty toes. Did you know that big name companies
are taking noticed that we as paying customers are demanding even more
sophisticated products to help with strengthen and protecting our nails, as
well as helping stop the aging look of our hands?
There are many trends going on, in natural nail care as well
as skincare. Have you looked at the back of your hands lately? Your hands see
as much sunlight as your face does, but do you ever think to use sunscreen on
the back of your hands? You can hide your age pretty well with anti-aging
products for your face, but what about your hands? They will show your age when
your face does not, with super dry skin, brown spots, etc. We all love beautiful nails, and show them
off often but if your hands look older than you, then you have a problem. Did
you know that the skin on your hands can be just as delicate as the skin on
your face and just as exposed to everything you do everyday?
Besides the hands over all that needs anti-aging treatments
another really big part of your natural nail care that can get forgotten is
your cuticles. Dry skin on your hands and dry cuticles is two big items that
many companies are looking into by creating more natural products. Anything
that will help slow down the aging process.
As part of the natural nail care trends they are starting to
come out with exfoliating cuticle treatments that will help bring back your
softer, smoother beautiful cuticles.
Many nail techs are now adding to their list of services that they
offer, step by step manicures with add on of anti-aging treatments for hands
and nails. With the use of natural ingredients in treatments and maintenance
products, its looking better all the time for all of us. Natural antioxidants,
and skin-hydrating ingredients are at the top of everyone's list these days. Many
products are being offered in nail salons as treatments that use these
ingredients as well as Vitamins E & A, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and
pretty much anything organic. If you demand more you get better quality
products, so ask.
With the whole world
wanting to stay looking young as long as possible you can't have over dry hands
and torn cuticles because that's just take away from that idea. Making sure we
have beautiful hands and nails with the use of more natural products, is every
woman's right these days. Next time you visit your nail tech, ask her what does
she have to offer or suggest on you what you can do to stop your hands from
looking old. Natural nail care is big business and don't be surprised if she
offers you a list of tips and products with suggestions to help your hands and
nails look younger than you are right now.
